The realization of the project titled “Forming of network for enhancing environmental protection from pollutants of mining cross border areas ” – eMS no. RORS-308, within the framework of the Interreg-IPA Cross-border Cooperation Romania-Serbia Programme started on 13th June 2019.
The project is jointly realized by the Politehnica University Timisoara, as a lead partner, and the Mining and Metallurgy Institute Bor, as a partner, within the priority axis 2: Environmental protection and risk management. The duration of the project is 18 months. The total budget of the project is 301,480.20 euros, of which the European Union finances 256,258.16 euros, and the remaining amount the participants in the project.
Professors from the Politehnica University Timisoara were guests to the researchers at the Mining and Mining Institute Bor from 17 to 18 June 2019.
The Joint Steering Committee of the project was formed on 18th June 2019, which is made up of leading experts on both sides and will make the most important decisions in the implementation and realization of the project.
